In Chapter X the author treats of Kávyadoșas viz; Pada-dosas, Vākya-doşas, Artha-dosas and Rasa-dosas, and also describes the circumsta nces in which the Doșas cease to be so. His treatment of Kāvya-dosas clearly reveals his considerable indebtedness to Mammața 63 who treats of the Doșas in his Kāvyaprakāśa ( Ullāsa VII ). Mammața has utilised earlier writers on this topic and added new Doșas which he himself has discovered. Vijayavarņī follows Mammața's classification of Dosas in toto.
