________________ जीव का नयसापेक्ष स्वरूप ववहारेण दु एदे जीवस्स हवंति वण्णमादीया । गुणठाणता भावा ण दु केई णिच्छयणयस्स ॥ 1 अध्याय (spardhaka), no ego-consciousness of different types (adhyatmasthāna), and no karmic manifestations (anubhāgasthāna). There is no yoga activity (yogasthāna), no bondage (bandhasthāna), no fruition (udayasthana), and no variations according to the method of inquiry into its nature (mārgaṇāsthāna). The pure soul has no place for duration of bondage (sthitibandhasthāna), no emotional excitement (samkleşasthāna), no self-purification (vişuddhisthāna), no selfrestraint (samyamlabdhisthāna). It has no classes of biological development (jīvasthāna), and no stages of spiritual development (gunasthana), as all the above mentioned attributes are manifestations of material conditions. ये वर्ण से लेकर गुणस्थानपर्यन्त भाव व्यवहार नय से जीव के होते हैं, नय के मत में उनमें से कोई भी जीव के नहीं हैं। - 2 (2-18-56) परन्तु निश्चय The above mentioned attributes, from colour to stages of spiritual development, belong to the soul from the empirical point of view (vyavahāra naya), but from the transcendental point of view (nişchaya naya), none of these belongs to the soul. 29
