A Season for Non-violence — LA USA The World Religions Museum The Museum of World Religions (WRM) in Taipei, Taiwan, a center for interreligious exchange and dialogue, is devoted to promoting respect and understanding for the world's diverse religious and spiritual traditions. Exhibiting religious art from around the world, the Museum allows visitors to experience the power and beauty of religion - while educating them as well. The WRM is an initiative of Dharma Master Hsin Tao, the Founder of Ling-chiu mountain monastery in Taiwan, and is built on Master Tao's vision that all of the world religions share core spiritual values. Like the branches of the Bodhi Tree, the symbol of the Buddha's compassion, all of the world's great faiths as well as the "primal religions" of indigenous peoples are branches of the same universal search for purpose, meaning and enlightenment. The Museum will be a shrine to the spirit expressed in all of the World Religions and a sanctuary honoring the varied faiths and interconnected branches of the global community. In addition to exhibiting an extensive collection of religious art from around the world, the Museum will make use of the latest in museum and multi-media technology to give every visitor an unforgettable encounter with the power of human religions. The Museum will challenge the visitors to learn more about their own faith as well as the faiths of others. To be true to our own cherished traditions, the Museum posits that visitors need to better understand other belief systems that challenge and complement their own. The Museum will invite all visitors to widen their horizons, and reach out with their hearts and minds to embrace other members of the global community as partners and friends Museum of World Religions - Taipei TAIWAN, R.O.c.
