Healing Through Yogic Meditation Henry Martyn Institute will introduce interested persons to meditation techniques drawn from various religious traditions in order to lead them to inner peace so that they might pass on a current of harmony to other peoples, nations and races. Sacred Stone Circle Circle Sanctuary has created a Sacred Stone Circle, dedicated to planetary healing and well-being. Stones are given by people representing spiritual paths from around the world. The site itself, and spiritual practices done there, honor the interconnectedness of humans with each other and the greater Circle of Nature. A series of multicultural, international, and interreligious meditations, ceremonies, and cele brations will be held at the Circle in honor of the Millennium. More stones will be added during these events and, as done with the placing of previous stones (there are now thousands), prayers for peace will accompany the setting of each one. A Sacred Cairn for Harmony The EarthSpirit Community will establish an outdoor sacred site surrounding a stone cairn at its home and conference center in western Massachusetts. The site will be dedicated to harmony among all peoples and between humans and the other aspects of creation, including animals, plants and spirits of nature. The first stone laid will be one found near the site as a tribute to the spirits of the land. The second will be a stone brought home from South Africa by EarthSpirit's representative to the Parliament in recognition of the work being done there. All who come to the Center will be invited to add a stone to the cairn with their own personal invocation for harmony. The cairn will be built in the ancient traditional manner common to many cultures in Europe and other parts of the world) and will be set about with healing herbs and plants. It will be a spot for meditations, singing and dancing, where a vision of harmony and peace throughout all the realms of creation can be fostered EarthSpirit USA
Self-Realization Fellowship Prayer Council The Self-Realization Fellowship Prayer Council, established by Paramahansa Yogananda to serve the world through prayer, consists of monks and nuns of the Self-Realization Fellowship monastic communities who daily meditate and pray for others. The SRF Prayer Council, as well as lay members at SRF temples, will pray for the 1999 Parliament and its participants from December 1-8, and throughout 1999.
