Kashi River School
The River School is a private non-sectarian educational institution serving pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The River School weaves spirituality, service and awareness along with a consciousness of non-bigotry and non-violence with a quality education in an inspirational, creative, thought-provoking environment. Its guiding principle is that every child can succeed and therefore tailors its curriculum to the individual student. Service is also an integral part of the school's curriculum; each student takes part in community service, serving at care centers for people with AIDS and other life challenging illnesses, the elderly, and indigent. The River School (in conjunction with The River Fund of Florida) will initiate a pilot project to provide housing and education for children whose parents are terminally ill or who have died from AIDS.
