There is no doubt that the ancient culture and tradition of learning in India, has shown light to the whole world in discovering the human-values. In India, we have two great epics of the world, one is "Ramayana" by Adimahakavi Valmiki and the other is "Mahabharat' by Mahakavi Ved Vyas.
Both these epics have a great impact on the Indian society as well as on the whole world, as is characterized by the fact that both of these confine themselves more to external action than to internal feelings. The most important and valuable part of Mahabharat is "Gita-updesh' i.e. teachings of Lord Krishna to Arjuna in the battle field of Kurukshetra, through which, Lord Krishna speaks about the Philosophy of life and the Reality of "Bhakti' "Karma' and "Gayan'.
