"Dwapar Yug'. This august day is celebrated by the Hindus as ""Krishna Janamastami" throughout India and abroad. But the Jain poet Mahakavi Swayambhu Dev, in his epic "Rithanemi Chariu' has changed this date.
“भद्दवहो चंदिणि - बारहमए दिणे सुहिहिं दिंतु अहिमान-सिंह!
उप्पणु जगद्दणु असुर विमद्दणु कंस हो मत्था, सूल जिह!!''।" i.e. ""Bhaddavaho chandini-barahmaye dine suhihin dintuahima-sinha.
Uppanau jagddnu asur vinaddnu kansaho matha-sool jih".
""Krishna was born on twelfth day of Suklapaksha of Bhadra like a knife in the fore-head of Kansa". Thus, the Jain poets have changed the established fact of Krishna's birth amongst the Hindus. (2) Number of Devaki's Sons
According to Hindu-story of Krishna, Devaki, wife of Vasudev and sister of Kamsa, the ruler of Mathura, gave birth to eight sons and Krishna was the last of them i.e. gih son of Vasudev and Devaki, who killed Kamsa.20
But the Jain poets have changed this mythological concepts of Hindu Krishna-Katha, saying that Krishna was the seventh son of Vasudev and Devaki. Mahakavi Pushpadant, in his epic work ""Mahapurana" declares Krishna to be the 7th son of Devaki.

i.e. ""Annatt laheppinu wudhi sokhu, Chhah charamdeh jahinti mokhu.
Sattamu sua hosai vasuava, jar sandhua kansahu dhumkeu". And ""Kanhu masi sattami saja you, maran kankhiru kansnadyahu".
""With pleasure and worldly achievments, Six sons (of Devaki) will attain "Moksha' (Death). The seventh son of Vasudev would kill Kamsa".
"Likewise, Swayambhu Dev in his epic "Rithanemi Chariu' accepts this concept of Jain-poets, saying Krishna 7th son of Devaki,
