'Diplomatic' person, who wants to capture the power from his brother. According to Jain tradtion, Krishna is brother of Nemi, the 22nd Tirthakar in Jain-mythology. When Krishna, after the Kurukshetra-war between Pandavas and Kauravas, returns back to Dwarawati, he realizes that his brother Nemi is much more powerful than him and it would be difficult for him to defeat his brother Nemi to become the ruler, Krishna is very much worried and he plans to divert the thinking of Nemi by hook or by crook. Krishna does praise his brother Nemi to gain his confidence.

"मणइ जगद्दणु कवउसणेहउ ! हउ धण्णउ जसु भायरू एहउ!!' "Mani Janaddanu Kavau sanehau have jasu Bhayaru ahau". "I, Janardana, have love towards my brother, whom I consider to be my fortune."

Thus, praising his brother Nemi, the natural king-designate, Krishna wins his faith and then plays a trick to gain the kingship.
According to his diplomatic plan, Krishna puts forth a proposal before his elder brother Nemi, for his marriage.
"अहो अहो कामपाल जगसार हो! विज्जइ पाणिगहण कुमार हो!!” " i.e. "Aho aho kampal jagsaraho, Vijjai pani-gahan kumarho." "The Kamadeva, the ultimate aim of the world, is winner and wants to make the Kumar Nemi marry.'

On the auspicious day of marriage of Nemi, Krishna sends some persons from the forests, who had very pitiable look. Nemi gets moved and decides to become a Samnyasi. Thus, Krishna gets the throne and Nemi becomes a saint, accepting Jainism.
This move of Krishna is considered as his diplomatic win to get the throne, but to me this seems a deliberate attempt of Jain poets to undermine the moral character of Krishna and to elevate the status of Nemi, who is the 22nd 'Tirthankar of Jains'.
Thu, we may have a definite conclusion that the Jain-KrishnaKatha-literature by the Jain poets did have an impact of Mahabharata and other Hindu Puranas on it, but due to their religious and mythological tradtions, the Jain poets could not accept Krishna as God or incarnation of Vishu, the Lord of Hindus.
