________________ ८० 40 श्रमण/ जुलाई-सितम्बर/ १९९६ by which his Sadhya is realized and further nothing remains to be achieved. In the words of lord Mahāvīra : jo sahassam sahassāṇaṁ saṁgāme dujjae jiņe egaṁ jinejja appāṇaṁ esa se paramo jao Uttaradhyayana - 9/34 i.e. the victory of one who wins over one's self is greater than the victory of a warrior who defeats ten lakh soldiers in the battlefield. The Sadhya and the Siddha are inherent in the Sadhaka that is why the aspirant is for ever struggling to break his limitations and reach out to the fullest freedom of a Siddha which represents the selfillumined and self sufficient, perfect soul. There is, in all of us a burning light which says that we are yet to experience the best in life. Don't you all feel that the divine light is yet unseen by you, the divine music of the Paramatman is unheard by you and the divinity that you ought to possess yet due to you. All of us at some point in our life span walk over a gold mine, most of us do not have the inclination to unearth the treasures for want of knowledge and courage. In Jainism 'Sadhana can be studied in more ways than one and each one echocs the truth of Sadhana, which the Sadhaka undertakes to reach his Sadhya. The Sadhana of the Jainas is better known as Moksha Marga and its constituents are Right faith, Right knowledge and Right conduct. Samyak darśanajñanacāritrāṇi mokṣamārgah. - Tattvārtha Sūtrā 1/1 This ephorism symbolises the process of Sadhana which is the same in all times. This process was worked out by all omniscients Arihantas i.e. Tīrthankaras and shall forever be the same for all the forthcoming Sādhakas. Right faith, right knowledge and right conduct mould the soul to bring out from the hidden resources of our divine nature, all those qualities that are already there in a latent form For Private & Personal Use Only Jain Education International www.jainelibrary.org
