4. क्षत्रियकुन्द
वह विदेह राज्य का क्षत्रिय कुन्द नामक नगर है। उसका पालन राजा सिद्धार्थ करता था । वह बड़ा नियमशील दयालु एवं दानशील था । वह अपनी प्रजा का पालन निज सन्तान की भान्ति करने में कोई कमी नहीं होने देता था। उसकी पत्नी का नाम त्रिशाला था। वह बहुत बड़ी पतिव्रता थी। पुत्र के रुप में भगवान महावीर होने से पहले उनको नन्दिवर्द्धन नामक एक पुत्र और सुदर्शना नामक एक पुत्री थी। अब इन्द्र की कृपा की वजह से श्रमण भगवान महावीर को उसने गर्भ में धारण किया।
4 KSHATRIYA KUNDA
Kshatriya Kunda was actually in the Kingdom of Videha and its ruler King Siddartha was a man of rectitude, kindness and charity. He was a ruler devoted to the securing of the welfare of the people. His wife Trishalawas a very gentlewoman much devoted to her noble husband. Prior to the conceiving of Mahavira by Rani Trishalatwo children had already been born to the couple - a son Nandivardhana and a daughter Sudarshana. Thanks to the divine will and grace of Indra this queen Trishala conceived Shramana Bhagwan Mahavira - a pious surrogate mother she may be called.
