एक लाख पूर्व तक केवली पर्याय में रहे।] वे संपूर्ण एक लाख पूर्व तक श्रमण पर्याय में रहे। कोशलिक ऋषभ चौरासी लाख पूर्व पर्यन्त पूर्णायु का पालन कर, वेदनीय, आयु, नाम और गोत्रकर्म के क्षीण होने पर, इसी अवसर्पिणी के सुषम-दुषम नामक तीसरे आरे के बहुत कुछ व्यतीत हो जाने पर और इस तीसरे आरे के मात्र तीन वर्ष साढ़े आठ महीने शेष रहने पर, जब हेमन्त ऋतु का तीसरा महीना, पांचवां पक्ष माघ कृष्ण चल रहा था तब उस माघ कृष्ण त्रयोदशी के दिन, अष्टापद पर्वत के शिखर पर, दश हजार श्रमणों के साथ जल रहित चतुर्दश भक्त (छह उपवास) तप करते हुए, अभिजित नक्षत्र का योग आने पर, पूर्वाह्न काल में, पल्यंकासन में बैठे हए भगवान् कालधर्म को प्राप्त हुए। समस्त प्रकार के दुःखों से पूर्णरूपेण मुक्त हुए। २००. कौशलिक अर्हत् ऋषभ को निर्वाण प्राप्त हुए यावत् सर्व दुःख-रहित होने के बाद तीसरे पारे के तीन वर्ष साढ़े आठ महीने व्यतीत हो गए और उसके बाद
