वह भी परिमित, अपरिमित नहीं । [वह भी जितना चाहिए उतना ही, अधिक या कम नहीं] । २५१. वर्षावास में रहे हुए, निश्चित संख्यावाली दत्तिप्रमाण पाहार लेने वाले श्रमण को पांच दत्ति भोजन को और पांच दत्ति पानी की ग्रहण करना कल्पता है । अथवा चार दत्ति भोजन को पांच दत्ति जल की लेना कल्पता है । अथवा पांच दत्ति भोजन की और चार दत्ति जल की ग्रहण करना कल्पता है। वहां नमक के करण जितना भी जिसका प्रास्वाद लिया गया हो, वह भी एक दत्ति गिनी जाती है। ऐसी दत्ति स्वीकार करने के पश्चात् उस श्रमण को उस दिन उस भोजन से ही निर्वाह करना कल्पता है । उस भिक्षु को दूसरी बार पुनः गृहस्थ कुल की ओर भोजन अथवा पानी के लिये निकलना और प्रवेश करना नहीं कल्पता है। २५२. वर्षावास में रहे हुए, निर्ग्रन्थ और निर्ग्रन्थिनियों को उपाश्रय शय्यातर (निषिद्ध) घर से सात घरों तक जहां संखडि (जीमनवार) होता हो, वहां गोचरी के लिये जाना नहीं कल्पता। कितने हो ऐसा कहते हैं कि शय्यातर-गृह के अतिरिक्त सात घर तक जहां जीमनवार
251. During paryusana, a monk who vows tc accept a fixed number of gifts should take oply five gifts of food and five of drinks; or he may accept four gifts of food and five of drinks; alternatively, he may accept five gifts of food and four of drinks. The little salt that he partakes of, should be counted as one whole gift. The day he accepts such a gift of food, he should be content with this gift for the whole day and accept no more. He should not go out towards house-holders homes seeking for alms again.

252. During paryusara, it is not proper for those monks or nuns, who are observing a rule of visiting only certain homes, to go to a house
where a festive meal (sankhadi) is being cooked, if the house lies within a range of seven houses from the house in which they are lodged. Some say that they should not go to a festive meal in a house, if the house be within a range of seven houses counting the house in which they are lodged.
