Vasumati resolved to commit suicide hearing from the ministers that the king was missing and tho army was all destroyed in the battle. p. 9.
The foar ministers got a gon each (The birth of a son to the priest is omitted). p. 14.
6. The foar ministers and the priest got a son each. The song of the ministers were named Pra- mati, Mantragapta, Mitragupta, Višruta and the son of the priest was named Somadatta. pp. 164, 166.
7. When the king was living in the forest, cne day Sabarasenā, the mother cf Vindhyasenā, came to him with a baby in her arms and accompanied by an old hunter, told him that she had brought the child as a playmate to Rūjavāhana and that her escort would tell him how the child came to her hands. Thereupon the old man told the king as fol- lows :
When once during a holy day, the king was passing along the street of the hunters for bathing, be saw a buntress fondling a beautifal little boy. The king asked her wherefrom she got the boy, and she replied that when a garg of hunters plundered the possessions of the king of Mithila, her husband stole away the child and gave it to her.
