Note on the Word Kagint
Turner's dictionary does not record this word. Moreover the word kāgint is a Desya word and must have been taken in, later on, in Sanskrit language in these two senses. It is interesting to note that the word kägini is recorded as a jewel in Sanskrit dictionaries but it is not a jewel of a sovereign king alone as found in the Jain literature.

This study will reveal as to how a Deśya word like kägini is incorporated in the languages as it is and thereby the languages are enriched.
