દાન, શીળ, તપ, અને ભાવના વિનાનું.
વ્યર્થ ભવભ્રમણ
दत्त न दानं परिशीलितं च, न शालि शीलं न तपोऽभितप्तं । शुभो न भावोऽप्यभवद्भवेऽस्मिन, . विभो मया भ्रांतिमहो मुधैव ॥ ४॥
મેં દાન તે દીધું નહિ, ને શિયળપણુ પામ્યું નહિ, તપથી દમી કાયા નહિ, શુભ ભાવપણુ ભાળે નહિ; એ ચાર ભેદે ધર્મમાંથી કોઈપણ પ્રભુ નવ કર્યું, મારું જામણુ ભવસાગરે નિષ્ફળ ગયું નિષ્ફળ ગયું?.
Charity was not given And character was not observed The body was not dried with penance No good motive was remembered Front the four religious principles Could not perform any one Oh God I lost my voyage In the ocean of life.
અથ:-હે પ્રભુ! નથી મેં આ ભવમાં દાન દીધું, કે નથી મેં શુદ્ધ બ્રહ્મચર્ય પાળ્યું, નથી કયાં મેં તપ, તેમ નથી અંતરમાં ભાવ્યો સારે ભાવ, અરેરે! મારે આ ભવને ફેરે નકામે જ થયે!
