Tibet (South). It was obtained for the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Gangtok, Sikkim in October, 1958. The Lamas concerned were of the opinion that it was brought to Tibet from India before A.D. 1200. On palaeographical grounds, the manuscript belongs to the 11th century A.D.

Foll. 83 pages; size 58.5 X 6.5 cm; palm-leaf; Newari script; Sanskrit.
5 illustrations in Pāla style and painted wooden covers.
According to the colophon the manuscript was copied in the reign of king Sivadeva of Nepal for whom we have Newari Samvat 239 and 240, corresponding to A.D. 1119 and 1120, as known from two manuscripts from Nepal.
