Author: Pushpadanta (10th century). Begins : THE TUTTI 142 illustrations. Pushpadanta was patronized by Bharata, Minister of the Rāshtrakūta king, Krishna III (A.D. 939-968). So he has composed his verses with double meaning - applicable to the events in the life of Bharata, son of Rishabhadeva, as weil as to that of his own patron of the same name.
