SAMSKRIT WORKS
| MEGHABHYUDAYA:
It is a short poem on Meghadata of Kalidasa. The whole poem is finished in 38 sařskrit stanzas. The manuscript is in the collection of Granth Bhandar of Jaisalmer. The first stanza of Meghaduta has been written as under -
काचित् काले प्रमुदितनदनीलकण्ठंर्घनागे,
व्योमाटव्यां प्रतिदिशमल सञ्चरन् मेघनागे । बद्धारम्भ वदति वनिता स्म प्रवासाय कान्त,
कामश्चाप वहति हितदा विस्फरच्छायकान्तम् ॥ १ ॥
The end of the work is as follows -
विद्युल्लता लसति काञ्चनसन्निभार,
धाम्नो वहन्ति धनवन्ति नमानिमारम् । उच्च रसत्यविरत जलदोऽस्तवारि
रस्मिन् प्रयातु समये प्रिय यस्तवारि ॥ ३८॥ इति मेघाभ्युदयकाव्य समाप्तमिति ॥ छ ।
2 JITASĀRA SAMUCCAYA -
This is also a new work which has been found in the Grantha Bhandar of Ajmer. Jitasära Samuccaya was composed by VRIŞABH NANDI. According to Sri Jugalkishore Mukhtār, the scholar flourshed earlier than the 9th century. There are 700 ślokas in it. Though in the original work the number of slokas are slated to be 600. This shows that some verses were interpolated by some copyists.
The subject matter of the work deals with punishments, which are to be inflicted when the Jaina principles are violated.
3. NYAYA VARTIKA TIPPANA .
This is a commentary on Nyāya Värika written by Bhårdvaj in Samskrit. This is a non Jain-work. The manuscript exists in the Grantha Bhandar of Jaisalmer. It belongs to Samvat 1279 ie. 1222 A. D. The end of the manuscript is as follows:
