BHATTĀRAKA PATTĀVALI. This is a detailed account of Bhattāraka Kśemendra Kirti beginning from Saṁvat 1697 to 1756 (1640 to 1699 A D.) written in Hindi prose. The manuscript is preserved in the Sastra Bhandar of Sambhava Nátha Jaina temple, Udaipur. The description begins with Bhattāraka Devendra Kirti who breathed his last in Samvat 1730. (1673 A. D) His pupil Pandit Ksema who afterwards became Bhattaraka by name of Ksemendra Kirth was born in Samvat 1697. (1640 A. D.) At the age of seven he took some vows from Bhattaraka Devendra Kirli. It gives the full account of Kśema Kirti where he was born, who were his parents, with whom he read, when he became Brahamacari and Bhattāraka, in which places he travelled and in which villages and towns he finished his rainy season Every event of his life has been described in detail It begins as under - श्री जिनाय नमः सवत् १६६७ वर्षे मार्गशीर्ष सुदी ३ शुक्र पडित क्षेमानु जन्म भीलौडा नगरे माहा खातु प्रा वाई गागबाई गृहै । सवत् १७०४ वर्षे वैशाख सुदि १ दिनै प्राचार्य श्री देवेन्द्रकीति पामि पडित क्षेमो मरणवा रह्यो पाछि सवत १७१३ वर्षे फागरण मूदि३ दिने श्री शलू वर नगर मध्ये मदारक श्री देवेन्द्रकीति योग्य जीणीव ५० क्षमानि अणुव्रत दीक्षा दीधी त्याहा दोमी मेहा मुत जीवा जगा गोवा शख जीएणे श्री बिब प्रतिष्ठा करीनि प्रजलि झल्यो । ब्रह्म क्षेमा एहवुनाम धरीनि भट्टारक देवेन्द्रकीतियि स्वशिष्यं करीनि पासि वर्ष १४ राखीन पदयोग्य जागीनि सकल शास्त्रना उपदेश दीधा । -... .
