________________ Material for Research 31. GURU CHAND: This is a small work written in the praise of his Guru (teacher) Bhattarka Vijay Kirti by Bhattaraka Subha Candra (16th Century). He was the pupil of Bhattaraka Vijay Kirti. It is in the collection of Sastra Bhandar of Jaina temple Patodi. In the end of the Chand the poet mentions the names of his previous Bhattārakas, which are as follows: यतिवर वरनाथ मोक्षहसाथ करइ दुःखानलमेह गत सदेहं पर सुहट साहा गांगातनय करउ विनयं शुद्ध गुर । शुभ वंसह जातं कुमरि मातं परम परं । साक्षादि सुबुद्ध जी कीइ शुद्ध दलिततमं । सुर सेवत पायं भारतिमाय मथिततम || वदितसुरचरण भव्यहशरण पट्टधर । विजयादिहि कीर्ति सोमहमुत्ति धम्मधुर ||१०| कलकीति विख्यात जिनमत धम्मह मडन । वनकीर्ति तस्स पट्टि बुट्ठ मिध्यात खंडन || तिहा यती तणो व गार ज्ञानभूषरण भट्टारक । करइ मरणावर शास्त्र एह वहू भव्यहं तारक ।। जंपर कवियरण राय सूरि शुभचद विचक्षरण । वर ॥ भट्टारक श्राविजयकीर्ति सकल संघ मंगल करण ।।११।। ॥ इति गुरु छन्द समाप्ता ॥ [ 297 32. MAHAVIRA CHAND: This was also composed by Bhttäraka Subha Candra who was a scholar of 16th Century. The work deals with the life of Lord Mahavir and consists of only 27 stanzas. The work has been discovered in the Săstra Bhandar temple Patodi, Jaipur. The last stanza of the work is as follows of Jaina कायक || सिद्धारथ सुत सिद्धि वृद्धि वाछित वर दायक | प्रियकारिणी पर पुत्र सप्त हस्तानत द्वासप्तति वर वर्ष, श्रायु सिंहांक सु मडित । बामीकर वर वर्ण शरण गोतम यती पति ||
