________________ 186 JAINISM AND BUDDHISN शतहृदोन्मेष चलंहि सौख्यं तृष्णामयाप्यायन मानहेतुः । तृष्णाभिवृद्धिश्च तपत्यजश्रं तापस्तदायासयतीत्यवादिः ॥१३॥ Sa ta hridon meșa chalain hi saukhyam trisna __mayapyayan natra hetuh Trisnâbhibriddhischa tapatyajasram tapastada ya. saya titya vâdih. 13. * This sensual pleasure is fleeting like lightening, and is only the cause of increasing the disease of desire ; the increase of desire always burns, which is miserable ; thus you have said."
