well-known as Tiladhvaja in inscriptions and copper-plates, and which is under the Bhavnagar State. The stone is built up in the wall near the entrance and measures 12 in. by 7 in. It contains six lines of Gujarati in Devanagari. characters of which the fifth line is almost lost. It mentions the erection of the temple in memory of one llamiraji Gohila, in Samvat 1757; A. D. 1701.

VIII. Slone-Inscription of the well called Dhalin in the compound of the Darbur's
buildings at Mahwa under Bhdvnagar. Daled Samvat 1805.
This inscription-stone is found in the ton-wall of the well called Dholid well in the compound of the Darbar's lodgings at Mahuva, a small town under Bhảy. nagar, on the south coast of Karbiivid. The stone is 15 in. by 14 in. and contains six lines of Gujarati in Devanagari characters. There is hardly a single line which has not lost some of its letters. It mentions the digging of the well and a grant of some laud to a Båvå namod Ramadas l'ulsidas by Vakbatasimhji. It is dated Samyat 1905; A, D. 1749.
