མངའ eleg. for དབང, sakti *might and མཆིས pf. of མཆི་བ eleg. for ཡོད་པ, bhu to be; thu མངའ་ ནི་ ཁྱོད་ལ་ མཆིས་ lit. means “if you have the power and this is expressed in Skt. by śakyase (saknoși) ‘if you can'.
