________________ (iii) (iv) usabham + ajiaṁ = usabham ajiam or usabhamajiaṁ (Rşabha Ajita) dhaņam + eva = dhaņaṁ eva or dhaṇameva (only wealth) When a consonant occurs after 'n', 'ñ', 'ş'or 'n', the consonant is changed into Anusvāra; e.g., sankha-saṁkha (Masculine) = (conch shell) kañcua-kamcua (Masculine) = (slough of a snake) ukkaņthā-ukkaṁthā (Feminine) = (keen desire) antara-amtara (Neuter) = (interior) When an anusvāra is followed by a letter belonging to the ka group, ca group, ța group, tą group, or pa group of the Devanāgarī syllabary, the Anusvāra may alternatively become 'n', 'ñ', 'n', 'n' or 'm' respectively (Hema. 1/23, 24, 25); e.g., Ka group ka: pam + ka = panka, pamka (Masculine) (mud) kha: sam + kha = sankha, saṁkha (Masculine) (conch shell) ga: am + gaņa = angaņa, amgaņa (Neuter) (courtyard) gha: lam + ghaņa = langhaņa, larghaņa (Neuter) (fasting) Ca group ca: kaṁ + cua = kañcua, kaṁcua (Masculine) (slough of a snake).
