महामानव વૈશ્ય, શુદ્રો તથા સ્ત્રીઓએ ભગવાન મહાવીરનાં ચરણેમાં પ્રવ્રયા અંગીકાર કરી.
नृपाश्च नृपपुत्राश्च नृपराजयो नृपाङ्गजाः । मुमुक्षवस्तदभ्यणे बहवः परिवव्रजुः ॥११३ ॥
113 Kings, their sons, daughters and queens desirous of being emancipated, were initiated into the order of asceticism by Him.
(११3) मने जमी, पुत्री, २२०४२।९। सने રાજપુત્રીઓએ મુમુક્ષુભાવે એમની પાસે પરિત્રજ્યા સ્વીકાર કરી.
तपोरहस्यं विज्ञाय तापसाः स्कन्दकादयः । तविनेया भवन्ति स्म परिवज्य तदन्तिके ॥ ११४॥
114 Hermits like Skandaka having understood the essence of austerity, became initiated at His holy feet and became His disciples.
(૧૧૪) “સ્કન્ટક” વગેરે તાપસે તપનું સાચું રહસ્ય સમજી એમની પાસે પ્રવજ્યા ગ્રહણ કરી એમના શિષ્ય બન્યા. भभुजो मगधाधीशश्रेणिकाद्यास्तथा द्विजाः । वर्चस्विनः सोमिलाबास्तच्छिष्या गृहिणोऽमवन् ॥११५॥
