Most of misinterpretations based on the lack of correct texual readings are not sought to be listed here. The following are the instances of genuine lack of understanding of the correct sense of the listed passages or words inspite of the general correctness of the texual readings.
TM (P) Part I (1) Page 75 line Iff :- In the passage me f ansaifafafa'argar EAFragmagfFHEATA | the phrase zatazahrt has been explained as Anafareh The idea, however, is that the king surpassed the Viduşakas in point of oddities of dress and facial make-up. It has been rightly interpreted by the author of the M. Nts, who explains it as fara ऽप्यधिको भवन्.
(2) Page 97 line 5: In the passage HAZTETH1791 7 faizrazhafsrar ब्दजलधाररश्रुधारैः the word अनुबध्यमानया has been explained as वक्तुमनुरुध्यमानया which, however, does not costrue happily in the context. It has been rightly explained as farq qar in the M. Nts. This explanation has been noted as a varinant reading of the text proper by the author of the Päragavivrti : 38 But this supposed variant has been properly explained by him as afilharfar , thus elucidating and corroborating the interpretation of the M, Nts,
(3) Page 110 line 2 : In the phrase fatura aega HTETUR H ERI...
9... etc., the word nieca has been explained by the author of the Paragavivrti as आदिनाथ without specifying whether he means शिव or ऋषम by it ! Thc reference is evidently to fola.
TM(P) - Part II (4) Page 266 line 3ff : In the phrase afh192607339igfag 279&a. anye, the sub-compound 3TTENECIEhas been explained in the Parāg. avisti as 37TEX Eche acfifca FAECAT a A ale with referenee to a. This does not make much sense. The reference is evidently to the Vedic legend of Vrtra being killed by Indra. The Marginal Notes finely bring out the sense by explainig it thus : mal E 3742: T: Efa frenta a ft El
TM(P) -- Part III (5) Page 64 line 4: In the phrase fawag arftaafushto f ata... etc., the word afos praze has been expalined in the Parāga commentary as मार्कण्डेपुराणान्तर्गत स्तोत्रमेव दण्डक सप्तशतीश्लोकात्मतया दण्डाकारक येन तादृशेन.
