BHARATA; Once this Jada Bharata had a discussion with a king Sauvīra by name. The details of this are given in the second ansa of the Vişņu Purāna. .
From the life of Jada Bharata, it is sufficiently clear that whatever man thinks at the time of death (that ) he becomes, I This reflects the whole character of a person in a way, for whatever lie thinks at the time of death, that forecasts the next birth. It is not possible to think goodness at the time of death while one might do bad things throughout. .. King Nrga-- In the Bhagavat Purana,- is given the event of the king Nrga who was of charitable bent of mind, Once a cow of a Brāhmaṇa got mixed with the cows of king Nrga. The king taking the cow. for his own donated the same to some other Brāhmana. Due to this sin, the king was born as Křklása.
Sandilya- In the Kumārikā of the Maheśvara Khanţa, 9 we have the instance of a Karma'who was a Jātismara and related the story of his past birth. In one of his former births, this tortoise was born in the family of a Brāhmana. Then he was called "Śándilya. In his childhood, this Šāņdilya by way of play would construct a temple for Siva and in his young age he actually worshipped Śiva with devotion. Due to this Punya, after death, he was born again in the dynasty of Brāhmaṇa and was a devotee of Siva and a Jātismara... Because of Siva's boon, he got birth in a noted solar dynasty, and he was the ruler of a vast kingdom. Pratisthānapura was his Capital and his name was Jayadatta. This king Jayadaita also was a Jātismara. . This highly devoted king, con tructed a Siva temple at various places. Siva was highly pleased and wanted to give boon to Jayadatta... Jayadatta asked for immortality and freedom from age and the same was granted by Siva. After the attainment of this boon, Jayadatta's wisdom was thwarted and he got involved in various bad actions including adultery. Yama could not take away his life because of 1. Gita VIII. 5 2.
