प्राधाकर्मोपदेशिकं च पुद्गलमयमेतद्व्यम् । कथं तन्मम भवति कृतं यन्नित्यमचेतनमुक्तम् ॥ २६८॥
298. How can this material thing, whether Adhah. Karma or Uddeshika be of my doing, as it is said to be always devoid of consciousness.
आधाकम्म उद्देसियं च पोग्गलमयं इमं दव्वं । कह तं मम कारविदं जं णिचमचदेणं वुत्तं ॥ २६६ ॥ आधाकौंपदेशिकं च पुद्गलमयमेतद्व्यम् । कथं तन्मम कारितं यन्नित्यमचेतनमुक्तम् ।। २९६ ॥
299. How can this material thing, whether AdhahKarma or Uddeshika be of my doing, as it is said to be always devoid of consciousness.
Commentary.
If a layman has prepared food (possibly causing injury to living beings) for his own family or specially for a saint and the saint has taken such food, he will not be subject to any Karmic bondage consequent on its preparation, if he is satisfied that he is taking only such food as is pure and is prepared for the layman's family only. Only the layman is responsible for all the demerit, if any, occasioned by the preparation and offer of food to saints in contravention of rules laid down in Jaina scriptures. If, however, the saint becomes aware that the food is prepared for him and even then he accepts it, he will be responsible for bondage of Karmas.
जह फलियमणि विसुद्धो ण सयं परिणमदि रागमादीहिं। राइज्जदि अण्णेहिं दु सो रत्तादियेहिं दव्वेहि ॥३०॥ यथा स्फटिकमणिः शुद्धो न स्वयं परिणमते रागाद्यैः। रज्यतेऽन्यैस्तु स रक्तादिभिव्यैः ॥ ३०० ॥ एवं णाणी सुद्धो ण सयं परिणमदि रागमादीहि । राइज्जदि अण्णेहिंदु सो रागादीहिं दोसेहिं ॥ ३०१॥
