________________ the Buddhas.36 Besides there are many order distinct differences between the two religions which can be well ascertained by a comparative study thereof. JAINS AND EXISTENCE OF Gov. Now as regards the statement "जैन स्पष्ट रूपसे .... Acar" that is "The Jains clearly deny the existence of God,” the same is absolutely incorrect and there cannot be any misunderstanding about it. All the schools of Indian Philosophy and all the Scholars of religions worth the name know very well that what Jains deny is the Kartritva" (creativeness) and “Fala-datritva'(conferring fruits) etc. as qualities of God. The Jains say that God is neither creator nor dispen' ser. All the characteristics of Nirguna Brahma are assigned by Jains to “Siddha Paramatma .'"37 According to Jains God is nierely Sakshi---"Witness,'38 and does not take part in any of the human actions. Jains accept God as all-knowing all-powerful, and perfect, and other usual qualities ascribed to God are also accepted. In this respect the Minansakas and Sankhyas are at one with the Jains.39 The Maya of Vedantists the Karma of Mimansakas and Prakriti of Sankhyas are practically the same as Karma of Jains.
