________________ 76 A Hand Book of Jainology Apramatta Mahamuni. Yes. Even after one becomes an Apramatta Mahamuni, kashays may arise in him but they will be very subtle. They can be destroyed or controlled in one Antarmuhurt (a trice of time). At such a time, the jiva will be in a state of strong wakefulness. Therefore, a very small degree of kashay is not called pramad. When the jiva transcends from the state of spiritual awareness, the vitrag state appears Mithyathva (False belief): Avirati (vowlessness) Kashay (Passions) Yoga (psychophysical activities) and Pramad (negligence) in consonance with the extent to which they grow strong cause the bondage of karma to that extent.
