You have by your example shown to us and other persons interested in the matter of higher Female Education, what could be achieved by Indian women when freed from social prejudices and superstitious belief. You have taken the lead in the matter and we are glad to observe that your example is so ably followed by your sister. In the persuit of knowledge, madam, you have displayed commendable patience and preservence and we are very much rejoiced to see that your labour have been crowded with such eminent success.
To us who are anxiously following your career with interest, the present is an occasion of great personal pride and satisfaction and we confidently hope that you will, in future, continue to evince the same genuine interest in the cause of Female Education as you have hitherto done.
In conclusion, we ardently desire that you will put in to practical life the great and varied lessons of your Collegiate career and inspire others to follow your example in the acquisition of knowledge and thus prove a powerful force in the improvement and elevation of our Indian Homes.
