any advertisement, selects men of proved merit and entrusts the compilation of certain books to them. And, sometimes, intending authors communicate to the Managing Committee their proposals for writing particular books and the work is entrusted to them if the managing Committee approves of the proposal.
The remuneration to be paid to each writer of these books mostly fixed after considering the nature and scope of the work and the labour involved in the preparation of the book, more remuneration being paid for original work than for translation.
The Society undertakes printing and publishing of these books, reserving to itself the copy right, the writer being entitled to the honorarium only.
In the beginning of every year book published by the Society in the previous year (not exceeding the price of rupee one each) are presented to lifemembers and registered libraries of the Society and through them, they reach a large circle of readers.
