સહાણુ એટલે આકૃતિ, નિર્જીવ વસ્તુની આકૃતિ પાંચ પ્રકારની છે. (૧) પરિમડલ સંધ્યુ તે ચુડી અથવા ગાડીના પડાના આકાર; વધુ સતાણુ તે લાડવા કે ગાળાના આકાર; (૩) તસ સંઠાણું તે જેમાં ત્રન્ગ ખુલ્યા પડે તે સિંધાડા વિગેરે વળતા ખાદ્વાર; (૪) ચક્કરસ સંજ તે જેમાં ચાર ખુલ્યા પડે તે બાજોઠ વિગેરેના આકાર; (૫) આાયત સણ તે જેમાં હાળા કરતાં લંબાઈ વધારે હાય તે લાકડી વિગેરેના આકાર, આ પાંચ આકારમાં બંધી નિવ वस्तुतिमा समावेश या लय के साय अर्थात् प्राकृति । निर्जीव वस्तुकी प्रकृति पांच तरह की है. (१) परिमंडल संठाया चूड़ी अथवा गाड़ी के पहिया का आकार, (२) वह संठाळ, लड्डू के समान गोल । (३) तस संठागा, जिसमें तीन कोया हों, जैसे सिंघाड़े का फल का आकार । (४) चौरस संठागा, जिसमें चार कोन हों, बाजौर कौरह का आकार । (५) आायत संठाण, जिसमें चौers की अपेक्षा लम्बाइ ज्यादः हो । इन पांचोंमें सब निर्जीव माकृतियों भाजाती हैं । Santhan means a figure. There are five sorts of figures among which all the inanimate things can be exclusively divided. (1) Parimandal Santban is the shape of a bangle or the wheel of the cart ( 2 ) Vatta Santhān is the figure of a sweet-ball or the ball. (3) Tansa Santhan is the figure of a triangle. (4) Chaurausa is the shape of a square. (5) Ayat Santhan is that figure which has length more than breadth e. g. stick etc. These five figures include figures of all the lifeless things.
