निरयावास. पुं० ( नरकावास ) विमाननी मा १२वासनी गाव मे मा छे. પંક્તિબધ કે આવલિકાબંધ અને પુષ્પાવકીર્ણ. ચિત્રમાં દિશા અને વિદિશાઓમાં બે સરખી આકૃતિઓ છે, તે આવલિકાબંધ નારકાવાસની છે અને વિખરાએલા પુલ પ્રમાણે લાઈન વિનાના ટપકાઓ છે તે પુષ્પાવકીર્ણ નારકાવાસના છે. વચ્ચેને માટે નરકાવાસ “દદ્રક' કહેવાય છે. જે ચોરસ આકારના નારકાવાસ છે તેના બાહ્યાકાર ચોરસ અને અંદરને આકાર ગોળ હોય છે. સાતમી નરકમાં પકિતબંધ નરકાવાસજ હોય છે. તે પાંચ છે. વચમાં મોટો અપ્રતિષ્ઠાન નામે ગે નરકાવાસ છે. અને તેની ચાર દિશાએ એટલે ઉત્તર, દક્ષિણ, પૂર્વ અને પશ્ચિમે અનુક્રમે મહારર, રરવ, કાલ અને મહાકાલ નામના ત્રિકોણાકાર નરકાવાસ (ચિત્રમાં બતાવ્યા પ્રમાણે) છે. विमानकी तरह नरकावासको रचना दो तरहकी है । पंक्तिबंध अर्थात् प्रावलिकाबंध और पुष्पावकीर्ण । चित्रमें दिशा और विदिशामोंमें दो समान प्राकृतियाँ हैं वे मावलिकाबंध नरकावास की है और विखर हुए फूलोंके समान जो छोटे हैं वे पुष्पावकीर्ण नरकावास हैं। बीचका बड़ा नरकावास इन्द्रक कहलाता है । जो चौरस आकार का नरकावास है उसका बाह्याकार चौरस और अंदर का आकार गोल होता है। सातवें नरकमें पंक्तिबंध नरकावास होते हैं वे पांच हैं । बीचमें बड़ा भारी अप्रतिष्ठान नामक गोल नरकावास है । और उसकी चारों दिशाओंमें, उत्तरमें महारौरव, दक्षिणमें रौरव, पूर्वमें काल, और पश्चिममें महाकाल नामक त्रिकोणाकार नरकावास ( चित्रमें बताये गये इंगम ) हैं। There are two sorts of constructions of the hells like the aerial cars (Vimanas) viz. Pancti Bardha or Avalikā Bandha and Puýpāvakirna. Two similar figures in the directions and by-directions in the illustration represent hells of the type of Avalikā Bandha. The dots which are not in line and are in the fashion of strewn flowers stand for the hells of the types of Puśpāvakīrna. The large middling region of hells is knowu by the name of Indraka. The exterior shape of the rectangular hells is rectangular but the interior shape of the very hells is circular. Seventh hell is composed of Pankti Bandha. Only they are five in all. The central hell-abode, which is circular, is termed Apartisthan. And on its four sides viz, northern, southern, eastern and western there are respectively Mahāraurava, Raurava, Kāla, and Mahākāla in triangular shapes as the illustration shows. भग० १, ५, ६, ५; जीवा० ३, १:
