Though we know some medicine as curative, yet if we have no confidence in its curativeness, then we would probably be negligent in takir.g it; similarly, though we know the way of Dharma as such-as auspicious, yet if we have no confidence in its auspiciousness, then we would be negligent in rightly performing it and hence we would not be able to attain self-good.
