ઉપદેશસરિતા
સાચે માણસ તે સારો, જૂઠે તે બદમાશ છે; ભલું કરે જે બીજાનું તે ભલે, અન્ય દુષ્ટ છે-. આ વાત સર્વને માન્ય, એથી એ સ્પષ્ટ થાય છે; બધાને ઈષ્ટ છે ધર્મ ને અધમ અનિષ્ટ છે.

A truthful person is good, while a liar is bad; he who does good to others, is good, while the reverse is bad. This fact is unanimously admitted. So it is clearly known that Dharma is agreeable to all and Adharma, disagreeable. 189-190
