ઉપદેશસરિતા
In the world as happiness comes, so misery also; so we should not be puffed up with pride at the attainment of happiness, nor should we be agitated at the approach of misery.
In spite of making proper attempts to get rid of misery, until it is removed one should endure it with patience and fortitude.
All the Karmas of ours are not invulnerable; such Karmas are, indeed, a very few; among our Karmas are mostly vulnerable ones. (So man may be happy by removing his bad Karmas through proper diligence.) 211-213
