પુનર્જન્મની ઉપપત્તિ સુખી ભવનમાં જન્મ પામેલ હોય છે સુખી; દુઃખી મ્ભવનમાં જન્મ પામેલે દુઃખપૂર્ણ છે. આથી અગાઉનો જન્મ સ્પષ્ટ સાબિત થાય છે; અને ત્યારે કર્યા કર્મો ને આત્મા સિદ્ધ થાય છે.

Proof of Rebirth
The child who is born in a happy house, is happy; the child who is born in an unhappy house, is unhappy,
From this, are proved the previous birth and hence the soul as well as Karma incurred there (in the previous life) by it. 173–174
