The bondage of the soul with Karma is Bandha, and the stoppage of the above-said Ãsrava is Samvara.
The removing of the Kārmic matter from the soul is Nirjarā, and the emancipation of the soul from all its Karmas, is Moksha.
In the Jaina scriptures, are thus propounded nine principles which are acceptable by all those who believe in the doctrine of the soul.
all the believers in the soul, admit Punya and Pāpa and also the way through which the soul is bound by them (Punya Karma and Pāpa Karma), i.e. Asrava.
