This proclamation being heard by Dhana, he announced that he was in possession of a powerful charm against snake bite. Acordingly hisofetters were taken off, and he was led before the king, whose son came back to life on the recitation of the charm. Khangilaka named his desire : that his poople should no more be employed as executioners.
