"I hear a small pamphlet embodying some of the principles of the Jain philosophy is under preparation by Mr. Motilal M. Shah, and that it is proposed to B dedicate the same to your son the late Mr. Lallubhai Motichand Mehta. If this be a fact, I should like to suggest to the author that a short sketch of the life of the deceased, might be inserted in the book along with the dedication. That is the only tribute we, who are left behind to mourn his loss, can offer to one whom we loved and admired. I do not mean to say that the soul of the departed needs from us a physical recognition of this nature in his post-mortem existence.
