संजीवनीति वरमौषधमेकमेव व्यर्थश्रमप्रजननो न तु मूलभारः ॥
પરમતત્ત્વ ( મેાક્ષ ) ના માર્ગને પ્રકાશ કરનાર એકજ શ્લાક શ્રેષ્ઠ છે, પરન્તુ માત્ર મનુષ્યાને રંજન કરવા માટે કરાડા પ્રથાનું પાન સારૂ નથી. જેમકે જીવનને આપવાવાળી એકજ સંજીવની એષષીની પ્રાપ્તિ શ્રેષ્ઠ છે, પરન્તુ બ્ય શ્રમને આપવાવાળા મૂળીયાંના ભારા નકામાજ છે.
परमतत्वपथप्रकाशी ( परमं तत्वं परमतत्वं तस्प पथः तस्य प्रकाशी ) illuminator of the path of highest truth. પિં
the study of innumerable (hundreds of) books સંનવનીત ( તંગીવનો is a kind of life restoriug plant) ત્ર્યંત્રમપ્રનનન: the accumulation of which ivolves fruitless trouble.
Even one verse, illumining the path of religious truth, is preferably superior to the study of innumerable books for the gratification of the people. The single life restoring plant is better than the heaps of vegetable medicines, the accumulation of which involves fruitless trouble.
