The Siddhis ets: , also impede his progress if the ascetic is after them. If he is lured thereby he again forms a new coating of matter and thus experiences the very pitfalls, which he tries to avoid.

विदन्ति तत्त्वं न यथास्थितं वै संकल्पचिन्ताविषयाकुला ये । संसारदुःखैश्च कदार्थताना
