Unshakable belief and firm convictions brought on hy. meditative practices in comformity with spiritual precepts ordained in the holy texts. One blessed with the above renunciation, and enlightened instructions from a morally elevated spiritual teacher and whose mind is so thoroughly convinced, is sure to progress towards salvation.

विग्रहं कृमिनिकायसंकुलं दुःखदं हृदि विवेचयन्ति ये ॥ गुप्तिबद्धमिव चेतनं हि ते ...
मोचयन्ति तनुयन्त्रयन्त्रितम् ॥ આ શરીર અનેક પ્રકારના સૂક્ષ્મ સંમૂચ્છમાદિ જીથી વ્યાપ્ત છે અને પ્રાણીઓને દુઃખ આપનાર છે. એવું હદયમાં વિવેકપૂર્વક જાણે છે તે જ પ્રાણુ શરીરરૂપી કેદખાનામાંથી કેદીને છોડાવવાની માફક આત્માને છેડાવે છે
