In the year 44 of the most illustrious(?) great king Huviksha, in the third month of summer, on the second day. On that (date specified as) above, at the request of the (venerable) Nagasena, the pupil of Haginamdi (Bhaganandi?),a preacher (vachaka) in the (Varana) gana, in the Aryya- Chetiya (Arya-Chetika) kula, in the Haritamalakadhi (Haritamalagadhi) śākhā.....
