But nothing definite can be said about the matter vintil an:/ unless the works written by them are itisoverei ani stealiex!. NILAMBARA ACHARYA: Nilambara Acharya, father of the poet U ayana Achorya an! Govardhana Acharya, author of the famous Arya kapta ati was known to posterity as a Smrti writer. H's Cat, may be fixed with some amcunt of certainty in the last quarter of the twelfth century, a: his son Udayana Acharya composed the inscription of the Meghegvara temple (7) at Bhubaneswar during the reign of Anangabhima Deva II (1190-1198 A.D).) Udayana also composed the inscription of the Soblane;vara temple at village Niali (8) lying on the border of the Puri anl Cuttack districts, By the discovery of the above two insriptions it can be said without fcar of contra liction that Nilamara Acharya, the father of Ulayanla Lelongoul to Orissa. It is not possible to say at the present state of our knowledge, the names of Smrti works compiled by Nilarnbara Acharya, This will only be poss ble after a thorough search, collot:on anl staly of manusripts that still rema n 1inknwn, SAMKHADHARA: The next well-known Sturti writer belonging to Orisa (9) was Samkhadlara, the author o 'Smrti samuchchaya' which was acceptel as (7).
