There is a worm-eaten manuscript in the Raghunandan library at Puri, whare this first verse is founl in a mutilated form, but the name of the work is given as 'FEST'.. A manuscript of “समरसार" by रामचन्द्रवाजपेयी is preservel in Virapratapapur sasana near Sakhigopal in which the above verse is found at the end of the work with slight change in the first line , g. वंशे वत्समुनीश्वरस्य शिवदासाख्यो गुरुः ख्यातितः x x x Titada high colophon-fa ft Aaltfi arghaga: FATAITI AIA FT: FATA: ! This gives the additional information that Rama Vajapeyi was descended from a family having area. This work was also written during the perind of his stay:in the Naimisharanya. W. W. Hunter writes about another work by Rama Vajapeyi named affrafa thus "XCIV Ramachandra Bajapeyi, lived 400 years ago a Puri Brahman who wrote a Sanskrit work on Hindu Social and Religious law, called the Karmanga Paddhati" (21). Sri S. L. Karte, M. A. in his paper on Rama Vajapeyi (22) states that Rama wrote three distinct works pertaining to the Sulva sutra of Katyayana, three manuscripts of which are preserved in the Manuscripts library of the Scindia Oriental Institute, Ujjain, e. g.. . 1) Sulvavarttika which is a metrical gloss, consisting of 515 verses, on the Sulvasutra, 2) Sulvavarttikatika which is anthor's own cour.mentary on Sulvavarttika. 3) Sulvasutravrtti which is a regular commentary in proso on the original Sulvasut:a.
