GAJAPATI PURUSHOTTAMA DEVA: Two works on Dharmasastra written by Gajapati Purushottama Deva of Orissa (1466-1497), namely carefa fafarafo' and 'TIT175 arafex' are so far known, " The argfa" a manuscript of which is preserved in the Museum may aptly be called an abridged edition of the guia - क्षेत्रमाहात्म्य as it deals about the following subjects e. g. जगन्नाथस्य स्थितिः पुरुषोत्तम क्षेत्रमाहात्म्य श्री जगन्नाथस्य दर्शनफल, श्री जगम्नाथस्य दर्शनफल', श्रीHTTPRISET Filata ni, wt HoraJ964 qarT478701651 This work is important as it gives the names of a lot of works dealing about the antiquity, importance and sanctity of g6TANTE; that were being used before the middle of the 15th century. TITITISSA fare: also called alasif catfara: four manus. cripts of which are preserved in the collection of the Museum is a work containing the procedure of worship of Lord Jagannatha at Puri, ttat was sanctioned anl promulgated by Purushottama Deva, the sovereign ruler of Orissa. The conception of Jagannatha as Gopala Ksshna is recognised and proclaimed by this work, which is an important landmark in the religious history of Orissa. GAJAPATI PRATAPARUDRA DEVA: . The authorship of the well-known 'Sarsvativilasa' which is recognised as an anthority in the Andhradesa is attributed to Gajapati Prataparudra. But the real author of this was Lolla Lakshmidhara Bhatta of the Andhra country who remained in the court of Prataparudra for some years prior to 1520 A. D. when he wrote Atraat facre and a commentary on etatisact.
