But nothing definite can be sail about the matter vintil anl unless the works written by thein are discoveroi ani taiel. NILAMBARA ACHARYA: Nilambara Acharya, father of tho poet Ucapana Acharya an! Govarcihana Acharya, author of the famons Arla kapta ati was known to posterity as a Smrti writer. His Cat, nay be fixou with some amcunt of certainty in the last quarter of the twelfth century, a: his son Udayana Acharya composoil the inscription of the Meghesvara temple (7) at Bhubaneswar during the reign of Anangabhima Deva II (1190-1198 A.D.) Udayana also compose:l the inscription of the Soblanesvara temple at village Niali (8) lying on the border of the Puri anl Cuttack districts. By the discovery of the above two insriptions it can be said without fear of contra liction that Nilambara Acharya, ths father of Ulayana telongol to Orissa. It is not possible to say at the present state of Otir knowledge, the names of Smrti works compiled by Nilanbara Acharya, This will only be poss ble after a thorough searh, collo:tion anl sturiy of manus -ripts that still remain in DW31, SAMKHADHARA: The next well-known Sinrti writer belonging to Or's:a (9) was Samkhadhara, the arithor o 'Smsti samuchchaya' which was accepted as (7) E I.
