श्रीगणेशाय नमः ॥ श्रीमहाकालीमहालक्ष्मीमहासरस्वतीभ्यो नमः॥ .. अथ शतचण्डी प्रयोगः॥
तत्र यजमानः शिवालयादिसुप्रदेशे सुसमे भूप्रदेशे यथोक्तं मंडपं विधाय तन्मध्ये वेदिकां तस्य शाने यथोक्तं कुंडं कृत्वा कर्मारंभात्पूर्वारधिकारसिध्यर्थ यथाशक्त्या प्रायश्चित्तं कार्य ॥ तत्रायं संकल्पः ।। कुशपाणिः कृत्वा च मनोदेशकालो संकीयं मम देहशुद्धयर्थ शतचंड्याख्यकर्मण्यधिकारजननार्थ ममुकप्रत्याम्नायेनैतावत्संख्यानि प्राजापत्यान्यहमाचरिष्य इति संकल्प्य प्राच्योदीच्यांगसहितं प्रायश्चित्तं कुर्यात् ॥ etc.
